Millennium Film Workshop, is an artist-run film organization founded in 1966 in New York City. For six decades, Millennium has supported independent and experimental filmmaking, helping launch and champion the work of artists such as Stan Brakhage, Todd Haynes, Yvonne Rainer, Carolee Schneemann, Michael Snow, Andy Warhol, Bruce Conner, Su Friedrich and many others, playing an important role in breaking down financial and educational barriers to filmmaking while fostering a vibrant creative community.

  • We are turning 60 years this year. Millennium was founded in 1966 in the Lower East Side. In 2022 a group of local artists revived it and we are now in Brooklyn (Bushwick).
