Museum of modern art

Founded in 1935 as the Film Library, MoMA's Department of Film has been presenting films on 53rd street in midtown NYC for over 90 years. Currently operating two theaters, MoMA is open seven days a week and hosts hundreds of screenings each year, often with filmmaker and artist guests. Our annual series include The Contenders, To Save and Project, Doc Fortnight, New Directors/New Films and Silent Movie Week.

The MoMA film program is free for MoMA members.
